Impact & Responsibility

Growth should leave something useful behind.

GlobioHub is still growing, and so is this work. We are beginning with practical choices, clear limits and a promise to share evidence only when there is evidence to share.

How this will grow

First the intention. Then the work. Then the record.

We will keep these stages separate. That way, a future plan cannot be mistaken for something already delivered.

  1. 01

    Now

    Starting Point

We are publishing our approach, the planned 1% model, The Community Build and a way to share partnership ideas. This is the active stage today.

  2. 02

    Next

    Partner Selected

If there is a strong fit, we will name the partner, define the work and publish the start date and calculation for the 1% model. Nothing in this stage has been completed yet.

  3. 03

    After the work

    Evidence Shared

When real activity has taken place, we can report what was contributed, what was built, what the partner confirms and what we learned.

Our starting point

Start with what is true.

We have not selected an impact partner. Our planned 1% model is not active. The first Community Build has not been chosen.

What we can do now is be clear about our intentions, set sensible boundaries and create a place where the real work can be recorded later.

The GlobioHub Shop currently works mainly on a made-to-order basis. Products are generally created after an order is placed, rather than produced in large quantities for finished inventory. That is simply how the Shop operates today. It is not a claim that every product is sustainable, low-carbon, zero-waste or responsibly sourced.

Plans should read like plans. Results should come with proof.

Useful work usually begins with a real problem, a clear scope and time spent paying attention.

Planned — not active

A future contribution model

One percent, once the groundwork is ready.

We plan to set aside 1% of eligible net sales from the GlobioHub Shop and 1% of eligible receipts from GlobioHub Publishing.

This commitment is not active yet. Before it begins, we will publish the effective start date, the calculation and the selected recipient. The calculation will account for agreed exclusions such as refunds, discounts, taxes, shipping and platform fees, so the same method can be understood and repeated.

The first book planned through GlobioHub Publishing is A Student of the University of Life. Publishing receipts can enter the calculation only after the book is released, eligible receipts begin and the model has an approved start date.

Preparing — one project may be selected

The Community Build

One useful project, carefully scoped.

Through GlobioHub Labs, we are preparing to offer one limited pro bono project to an organization with a clear public benefit and a practical problem we may be able to help solve.

The work could be a simple intake process, a follow-up automation, a resource directory, volunteer onboarding, a small reporting tool, a form or website improvement, or a focused prototype. The right project will be small enough to define, build and hand over responsibly.

Education, nonprofit, newcomer-serving, youth-serving, community, environmental and other mission-led organizations are welcome to share an idea.

Only one project may be selected. Selection will depend on fit, scope, risk and available capacity. A submission does not guarantee funding, selection or delivery. The agreed scope, timing, responsibilities and limits will be confirmed before any work begins. Third-party software, hosting, licences and other outside costs are not automatically included.

Could we build something useful together?

Share a practical problem, a future contribution partnership or an idea for The Community Build. This is an expression of interest, not a grant or funding application and not a promise of project delivery. We review submissions as capacity allows and may contact organizations where there appears to be a good practical fit.
